Mrs. Stephanie Hydrick - 3rd Grade
Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Stephanie Hydrick. I have been teaching for 14 years and I am beginning my sixth year at Union. I grew up in Alabama and went to college at the University of Alabama and Athens State University where I received my degree in teaching. My husband, Woody is also from Alabama. We have been married for 17 years and have two sons, Sam and Jake. They both attend Scoggins Middle School and are Union alumni. Our two furry family members are Ritter and Kitty/Tux. Ritter is a four year old miniature Schnauzer who likes to snuggle. Kitty/Tux is a black and white cat with two names because we couldn’t decide which one to call him so we call him both. Our family likes to spend time together at the beach, watching Alabama football games, and we love to eat dinner outside on our deck. Besides being with my guys (including the pets) I love to read books, magazines, newspapers, and anything with words on it. My favorite book authors are Patricia Polacco and Kate DiCamillo, Michael Crichton and Jane Austin. I also enjoy laughing at funny jokes, silly stories, and humorous happenings. My favorite colors are orange and purple except during football season it is crimson. I also love ice cream and think sharks are really interesting.
